Creating a Product

Follow the given steps to create a product :-
1. A product tab is provided by Salesforce to create a product.Click on the tab and you will land up on Product home page.



2. Click on the new button and enter the relevant information for the product. Make sure to check the active checkbox for making your product visible in price books.


3. Now click on save button to create a product.

Associating a standard Price with a product :

To add a price to a product, you need to provide a default price which is universally acceptable in all price books known as "Standard Price". Click either on Add button of standard price related list present with each product or click on save & add price button while saving a product in salesforce. Now you need to associate the product with a price book. To do this, either you can use the standard price book or create a new price book.
